I attended the Queensland Resources Council and Women In Engineering’s networking event last at the Sofitel Hotel for engineering students and newly qualified graduates.
This event is always a fantastic opportunity for the next generation to discuss future opportunities directly with potential employers to get an idea of which direction their career path could go in.
Our engineers of tomorrow truly are an enthusiastic and refreshing bunch - and why shouldn’t they be? They’re about to embark on a career in what is still one of the most buoyant market sectors in recent times.
The future is looking bright for these talented, young individuals.
The sheer amount of engineering vacancies in Queensland alone is phenomenal and speaking from personal experience as a specialist recruiter in the industry there’s not a hint of negativity between them (unlike the doom and gloom we seem to have forced upon us by the media on a daily basis)
