Content, Media & Campaign Delivery Focus**

An opportunity is available for an experienced communications professional to join a Queensland State Government Marketing and Communications team in a fast-paced, delivery-focused role.

This position will see you contribute across a broad mix of communications activities, with a strong emphasis on writing, content development, internal communications and campaign support. You’ll be joining an established team with strategies already in place and will be expected to quickly step in, build relationships and deliver high-quality outputs from day one.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Develop high-quality written content including articles, newsletters, web content, campaign materials, media releases and briefing notes;

• Support the delivery of communication campaigns and initiatives, ensuring content is clear, engaging and aligned to government priorities;

• Contribute to internal communications, including staff messaging, updates and organisational announcements;

• Assist with media relations activities, including drafting responses, preparing materials and monitoring coverage;

• Engage with internal stakeholders to gather information, shape messaging and support communication outcomes; and

• Ensure all content aligns with government style, approvals processes and communication frameworks.

What You’ll Bring

• Strong writing and editing skills, with experience producing a range of communication materials (e.g. newsletters, articles, campaign content);

• Experience in communications, marketing, or media roles, ideally within government or a similar structured environment;

• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver to tight deadlines in a fast-paced setting;

• Strong attention to detail and the ability to tailor messaging to different audiences;

• Stakeholder engagement skills, with the confidence to liaise across teams and gather information efficiently; and

• Familiarity with government environments is highly desirable, but not essential.
