About the Company

u&u Recruitment Partners is proud to partner with a Queensland Government organisation committed to improving workplace safety, regulatory compliance, and service delivery outcomes across the state.

You will be joining a specialist licensing and regulatory environment within Queensland Government, focused on delivering high-quality customer service, authorisations, and compliance support that promotes safe work practices across the community.

The team operates within a values-driven, evidence-based framework focused on integrity, accountability, and public service excellence.

The Opportunity

We are seeking an AO3 Client Services Officer on a part-time temporary contract for an initial six-month period, based in Newstead.

In this role, you will act as the first point of contact for licensing and authorisation enquiries, supporting customers with accurate, timely, and professional information regarding workplace health and safety licensing frameworks.

This is a fast-paced, high-volume customer service role requiring strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to interpret and apply legislative and procedural information.

As a Client Services Officer, you will:

  • Respond to inbound enquiries relating to licensing and workplace health and safety authorisations;

  • Provide accurate procedural and application status information to customers;

  • Interpret and apply relevant legislation, policies, and procedures;

  • Manage high-volume calls using effective questioning and problem-solving skills;

  • Maintain accurate records and ensure high-quality data entry across systems;

  • Support information capture, storage, and reporting requirements;

  • Work collaboratively within a team environment to meet service targets;

  • Handle sensitive and personal information with discretion and professionalism; and

  • Assist across related client service functions as required.

Required Experience

We are seeking candidates with experience in customer service, contact centres, or administrative support environments. You will bring:

  • Strong keyboard, data entry, and telephone handling skills;

  • Experience working in high-volume customer service environments;

  • Ability to interpret and communicate information clearly and accurately;

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in record keeping;

  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced setting;

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including conflict resolution;

  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team; and

  • Willingness to learn and apply legislative and regulatory frameworks.

Highly regarded:

  • Experience within government or regulatory environments;

  • Familiarity with licensing, compliance, or WHS frameworks;

  • Experience using CRM or contact centre systems (e.g. Genesys Cloud); and

  • Exposure to structured rostered working arrangements.

Benefits

This role offers the opportunity to contribute to essential regulatory services that support workplace safety across Queensland.

You will gain experience within Queensland Government, working within licensing and compliance frameworks while developing strong transferable skills in customer service, administration, and regulatory support.

This is an excellent opportunity for candidates seeking to build or strengthen their public sector career in a structured, high-impact service delivery role.
