About the Company

This Queensland Government organisation operates within a highly regulated, frontline environment that supports critical services across the state. It is known for its strong focus on structure, compliance, and teamwork, and for providing a stable and supportive workplace for its staff. Employees are valued for their contribution to operational outcomes and are supported through clear processes, collaboration, and a commitment to professional standards and community impact.

The Opportunity

An opportunity is available for experienced Administration Officers to join a large, operational environment based in Wacol. These are full-time, 3-month contract roles with strong potential for extension, supporting essential business operations.

There are two distinct roles available: one focused on high-volume rostering, and the other on payroll processing using the QSS system. Both roles are suited to candidates who are detail-oriented, confident working within policy-driven frameworks, and comfortable supporting large teams.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting either high-volume rostering or payroll operations;

  • Managing administrative processes in a fast-paced environment;

  • Liaising with internal stakeholders to resolve enquiries;

  • Ensuring compliance with relevant awards, agreements, and policies; and

  • Maintaining accurate records, reports, and system data.

Required Experience

To be successful in this role, you will bring previous administrative experience within a structured or operational setting, with proven capability in either rostering or payroll.

You will ideally have:

  • Experience managing rosters for a large workforce;

  • OR hands-on payroll experience using the QSS payroll system;

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy;

  • Ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines;

  • Clear communication and stakeholder engagement skills; and

  • Prior experience working in the QLD Government.
