About the role
Our State Government client is seeking an experienced AO3 Project Support Officer to join the team on a temporary basis. Working on a public infrastructure project, this is a fast-paced administrative role suited to someone who thrives in complex project environments. Based in Brisbane CBD, the role will be commencing ASAP and for an initial period until the end of June with possible extension. Working 38 hours per week, it will be paying a casual hourly rate of $51.17 plus super.
In this role, you will provide high-quality administrative and project support, including database administration, document and records management, correspondence tracking, and office logistics. You will proactively manage executive diaries, coordinate meetings, prepare agendas, take minutes, and follow up actions to support effective project governance. The role involves liaising with internal and external stakeholders, analysing and responding to enquiries on behalf of senior staff, and ensuring correspondence and reporting meet government standards and deadlines. You will also support routine HR, finance, procurement, timesheet, and systems administration processes.
About you
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
Demonstrated experience providing high-level administrative support in a fast-paced environment;
Infrastructure or engineering project experience (highly regarded);
A proactive self-starter who takes initiative and anticipates the needs of the project team;
Strong diary management, meeting coordination, and minute-taking skills;
Experience working in the public sector or large, complex organisations;
Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
Exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail; and
A proactive, resilient, and adaptable approach to work.
