Our State Government client is seeking experienced AO4 Finance Officers to join the team on a temporary basis. Based in Buderim, these roles are commencing in July / August and are offered for an initial period of up to 2 years. The positions are full-time (38 hours per week), with a casual hourly rate of $60.06 to $65.81 plus superannuation.
About the Role
As an AO4 Finance Officer, you will provide specialist financial administration support and advice across a diverse infrastructure portfolio. You will play a key role in ensuring financial accuracy, compliance and timely processing of project-related transactions and reporting activities. This role involves working closely with project teams to interpret financial data, process journals and adjustments, complete reconciliations and maintain accurate financial records while supporting governance and compliance requirements.
About You
You will bring a solid finance or accounting background and be confident working in a busy, deadline-driven environment. You will demonstrate:
Experience in a finance or accounting support role (public sector or project environment highly regarded);
Strong skills in journal processing, including general journals and timesheet journals;
Experience with accruals, reconciliations and financial adjustments;
Confidence working with financial systems and tools (e.g. Excel, finance systems, SharePoint);
High attention to detail and strong numerical accuracy;
Effective time management with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines; and
Strong communication skills and ability to liaise with stakeholders and project teams.
