The Opportunity

We are seeking two AO5 Advisors, Safety, Health and Wellbeing to join a dedicated Safety, Health and Wellbeing team supporting frontline operations across Wacol and West Moreton.

  • Six-month temporary contract;

  • $69.21 per hour + super; and

  • Full-time | 72.5 hours per fortnight.

These roles are responsible for delivering high-level advice across workplace health and safety, workers’ compensation, rehabilitation and employee wellbeing. You will partner closely with operational leaders to ensure legislative compliance, manage risk and promote safe systems of work in a complex service delivery setting.

Key highlights of the opportunity include

  • Coordinate Return to Work & workers’ compensation processes;

  • Provide expert WHS advice in operational environments;

  • Lead incident investigations and risk assessments;

  • Deliver safety training and wellbeing initiatives; and

  • Conduct audits and improve safety management systems.

Required Experience

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:

  • Strong knowledge of the Work Health and Safety Act 2011;

  • Experience managing workers’ compensation claims and RTW coordination;

  • Ability to conduct workplace investigations and risk assessments;

  • Experience delivering WHS training and safety programs;

  • Exposure to frontline or operational service delivery environments;

  • Certificate IV in Workplace Health and Safety (highly regarded); and

  • Ability to obtain required pre-employment clearances.
