An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Traffic Management Designer / Advisor (AO5 level) to join a Queensland Government client within a high-impact infrastructure environment.

Based in Brisbane CBD, this is a 12-month contract (with strong potential for extension), offering full-time hours (36.25 per week) and a flexible hybrid working model following an initial onboarding period. The casual hourly rate will be between $69.21 to $75.09 plus super, depending on experience.

About the Role

You will provide technical support and advice in relation to the development and review of Traffic Guidance Schemes (TGS), helping to ensure designs are practical, consistent and aligned with relevant traffic management standards and requirements.

Working as part of a broader team, you will assist with the development and review of generic, emergency and site-specific TGS, provide input into design improvements and help maintain consistent approaches across operating areas.

The role will also involve working with internal and external stakeholders to understand requirements, provide technical advice and support the implementation of traffic management solutions.

About You

• Experience in traffic management design and / or TGS development;

• Strong understanding of traffic management standards, compliance and safety requirements;

• Ability to engage with stakeholders and influence outcomes; and

• Traffic Management Designer (TMD) – Queensland accreditation would be highly regarded.
