An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Traffic Management Designer / Advisor (AO6 level) to join a Queensland Government client within a high-impact infrastructure environment.
Based in Brisbane CBD, this is a 12-month contract (with strong potential for extension), offering full-time hours (38 per week) and a flexible hybrid working model following an initial onboarding period. The casual hourly rate will be between $79.18 to $84.56 plus super, depending on experience.
About the Role
You will play a key role in leading the development and improvement of Traffic Guidance Schemes (TGS), ensuring consistency, compliance, and practical application across multiple operating units.
In this role, you will lead the development, review and standardisation of generic, emergency and site-specific TGS, establish governance frameworks including design standards, peer reviews and lifecycle management, support the digital uplift of systems through centralised and cloud-based solutions, and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to drive continuous improvement and implementation across operating units.
About You
Experience in traffic management design and / or TGS development;
Strong understanding of traffic management standards, compliance and safety requirements;
Ability to engage with stakeholders and influence outcomes; and
Traffic Management Designer (TMD) – Queensland accreditation would be highly regarded.
