Recruitment Partners is proudly assisting the Department of Education’s Infrastructure Services Division to appoint an AO7 Project Coordinator within the School Facilities Operations Advisors (SFOA) stream. You’ll join a professional team improving statewide school facilities operations where planning discipline, stakeholder alignment and clear communication are paramount.

The Department of Education (DoE) is committed to a high-performing education system where every student succeeds. Within DoE, the Infrastructure Services Division enables great learning through safe, reliable facilities across Queensland’s schools. You’ll work alongside SFOAs and leaders to lift day-to-day facilities operations.

The Opportunity

As Project Coordinator (AO7), you will investigate, plan and coordinate initiatives across the SFOA stream. You’ll refine processes and procedures, maintain clear documentation, and keep stakeholders aligned so projects land on time and to standard.

  • Coordinate multiple initiatives that enhance school facilities operations;

  • Build and maintain plans, schedules, registers and status reporting;

  • Improve processes and procedures within and beyond the SFOA team;

  • Collaborate with advisors, senior leaders and external partners; and

  • Track risks / issues; propose practical solutions and drive delivery.

Required Experience

You are a proactive project professional with excellent planning and stakeholder skills, comfortable coordinating several workstreams at once and translating analysis into action.

You will bring

  • Demonstrated project coordination / management experience (public sector or education desirable);

  • Strong planning, organisation and time management across parallel projects;

  • Clear communication and relationship skills with internal / external stakeholders;

  • Experience in process improvement and supporting change initiatives;

  • Ability to analyse complex information and make well-founded recommendations; and

  • Proficiency with project tools, reporting and documentation (Microsoft business systems & project applications).

Additional Information

  • Mandatory: Current Blue Card (Working with Children); and

  • Other: Interstate travel required; role is on-site at the Albert street office.
