Our State Government client is seeking an experienced Project Manager (AO8) to support the delivery of projects within its Enterprise Program. Based in Northgate and starting ASAP, the role will be for an initial period of 6 months with possible extension. Working 36.25 hours per week, the casual hourly rate will range from $97.66 to $103.19 depending on experience.
About the Role
Reporting to the Project Director, you will lead the planning and delivery of a range of projects (non-IT), ensuring outcomes are delivered within agreed timeframes, scope, budget and quality standards. Projects may vary in size and complexity and may include organisational, operational or systems-related initiatives.
You will work closely with internal stakeholders and project teams to develop project management plans, monitor delivery progress, manage risks and issues and provide clear reporting to support informed decision-making. The role will also contribute to stakeholder engagement and change activities to support successful project outcomes.
About You
You are an experienced Project Manager with the ability to deliver projects in structured environments and work effectively with a range of stakeholders. You will bring:
Experience delivering projects within government or complex organisational environments;
Application of recognised project management methodologies such as PRINCE2 or similar;
Strong stakeholder engagement, communication and problem-solving skills;
Experience monitoring project progress, risks and budgets; and
Familiarity with project tools such as MS Project, Smartsheet or similar reporting tools.
