Support QBuild’s Townsville operations with varied admin, records and business support in a busy team delivering projects for Queensland communities.

QBuild is the Queensland Government’s trusted builder and a commercialised business unit that has been delivering building and maintenance services for more than 160 years. It plays a vital role in communities across the state by planning, building and maintaining essential public assets such as schools, social housing, police stations, correctional facilities and health centres.

With a state-wide footprint and a strong safety culture, QBuild supports local jobs and apprenticeships and contributes significantly to Queensland’s building and construction sector. , you will provide high-quality administrative and business support to QBuild’s local operations. Working as part of the Business Support Team, you will support managers and staff with accurate documentation, records management and general office functions, whilst also contributing to business improvement through well-maintained procedures, manuals and registers.

You will balance working as a key member of a busy team with managing your own workload, often within tight timeframes, and may be asked to support various QBuild business teams as operationally required. This is an excellent opportunity for an organised and proactive administrator who enjoys variety and wants to contribute to services that directly support Queensland communities.

You will be an organised and detail-focused administrator with experience in business support roles, ideally within government, construction, infrastructure or another complex service environment. You will be comfortable using systems, managing competing priorities and working both collaboratively and autonomously.

This role offers a valuable opportunity to gain or deepen experience within a large Queensland Government business area, supporting services that directly impact local communities. You will enjoy stable, full-time hours for the duration of the assignment (with potential for extension), a supportive team environment, exposure to a wide variety of administrative and business support tasks, and the chance to build your skills and experience for future opportunities within QBuild and the broader public sector.
