Your New Role
Reporting to the Business Manager and working closely with the Principal and Executive Leadership Team, you will play a key leadership role supporting the School’s financial stewardship, governance compliance, and business operations.
This is a senior position suited to a commercially astute and values-driven finance professional seeking strategic impact within a faith-based educational environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with annual operating and capital budget preparation and monitoring;
Support financial modelling, forecasting, and sustainability planning;
Prepare monthly management reports for Executive leadership and Board;
Oversee tuition fee administration and cash flow management;
Support procurement, contract management, and risk oversight;
Assist with audits / reporting, and ensure compliance with education and accounting standards; and
Provide leadership to administrative staff and strengthen internal controls, and overall governance (Victorian & Commonwealth education legislation, Australian Accounting Standards, Child Safe Standards).
What You’ll Need
Degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or Business;
CPA/CA qualified (or working towards) & WWCC;
Proven financial management experience in a medium–large organisation;
Strong budgeting, forecasting, and reporting expertise; and
Experience reporting to senior leadership or governance bodies.
Education or not-for-profit experience will be highly regarded (particularly in an independent or faith-based setting).
