About Chris Waller Racing

Chris Waller Racing is recognised as one of the most successful and progressive thoroughbred racing operations in the world. With multiple Group 1 champions including Autumn Glow, Joliestar, Via Sistina, Winx, Veery Elleegant, Autumn Boy, Aeliana and Zougotcha, the stable continues to set the benchmark for excellence in training, ownership experience and bloodstock acquisition.

About the Role

As Assistant Trainer at Chris Waller Racing, you will play a key leadership role within one of Australia’s most successful racing stables, working closely with Chris Waller and the senior racing team.

You will oversee the daily preparation, performance and welfare of elite thoroughbreds, including trackwork, training programs, horse development and race preparation. The role will also lead and coordinate riders and stable staff, manage veterinary and farrier requirements and ensure the highest standards of horse welfare, workplace safety and racing compliance are maintained at all times.

About You

You will be a highly experienced thoroughbred racing professional who offers a demonstrated record of excellence within the industry. Based in Berry, you will be self-motivated, highly organised and calm under pressure, with the leadership and communication skills to inspire a diverse team in a demanding seven-day-a-week racing environment.

As a trusted representative of Chris Waller Racing, you will bring professionalism, integrity and outstanding relationship-management skills when engaging with jockeys, owners, veterinarians, racing officials and industry stakeholders. Above all, you will have an uncompromising commitment to horse welfare and the drive to contribute to the preparation and performance of some of Australia’s leading racehorses. Computer literacy is important for database maintenance.
