Specialising in 25 years of pumps industry experience, your new company has a global footprint specialising in vacuum pumps, centrifugal pumps, related systems and accessories.
Based in Melbourne’s Southeast your new role will see you adhere to working as a permanent full time Boilermaker. Well esteemed in the pump industry, with secure long term client partnerships your new organisation offers a strong retention rate and the convenient location of being based in Dandenong South.
Your new company is looking for an experienced MIG mild steel Boilermaker/Fabricator to commence asap due to a retirement. Your role will allow for autonomy, security and diversity.
Your new role
Your new role will see you reporting to the Workshop Manager, with hours of work being 7.30am – 4pm Monday to Friday. Overtime is minimal & sporadic, but paid in accordance with overtime rates. Being a SME Engineering company, the role is consistently busy, and you will be enabled to work on custom pump projects.
You will work with MIG mild steel, with TIG stainless experience – particularly stainless pipe, being advantageous.
Your new role will see you:
Cutting and shaping metal;
Bending and forming;
Welding and joining mig mild steel using a STT welder;
Assembly of pumps – various sizes;
Quality inspection;
Collaboration - working closely with other tradespersons onsite;
Material handling; and
Documentation and reporting.
What you need to succeed
Trade-qualified Boilermaker – Cert III in Engineering (Fabrication) or equivalent;
Demonstrated experience in fabricating, reading technical engineering drawings;
MIG mild steel essential with TIG stainless being advantageous;
Industrial background as a fabricator or boilermaker; and
Vacuum or centrifugal pump experience will be viewed as highly advantageous.

Please be advised internal tests across being able to supply welds that allow for NDT and Xray testing will be adhered to. This is due to the nature of supplying to mining industries, and alike.
