The Role
We are looking for a strong Business Analyst with proven experience with Dynamics AX – FinOps to join our clients team in Western Sydney.
Key Responsibilities
Lead end‑to‑end requirements activities for large programs (ERP- D365 F&O, Salesforce, LOS/LMS), including analysis, validation, and requirements traceability;
Produce high‑quality artefacts: BRDs, FRDs, user stories with acceptance criteria, process maps (BPMN), data mappings/models, use cases, and RTMs;
Translate business requirements into clear, testable specifications that enable accurate technical design, development, and test planning;
Conduct gap analysis and impact assessment for changes;
Facilitate workshops, interviews, and discovery sessions with cross‑functional stakeholders (Collections, Customer Service, Credit, Risk, Finance, Insurance, Compliance, Product, Sales);
Support solution assessment & design, document current/target state processes, identify gaps, non‑functional requirements, and data implications;
Define and lead QA/UAT - test planning, test case review, defect triage, and business sign‑off;
Work closely with the Project Manager to shape scope, manage change, and control delivery risks and dependencies across streams;
Maintain the requirements backlog, ensure prioritisation aligns with business value and capacity, and support sprints where Agile;
Contribute to vendor SOWs, estimates, and deliverable acceptance criteria;
Track benefits realisation metrics and ensure traceability from requirements to outcomes;
Orchestrate intake, triage, business case development, budget tracking and prioritisation via the Change Council; maintain change calendars and resolve conflicts;
Establish and maintain requirements/change standards, templates, and quality and security gates;
Drive process simplification and automation opportunities within the portfolio;
Reporting to ensure business value delivery;
ERP Replacement: Collaborate on finance process design (O2C, P2P, R2R), master data governance, mapping, integrations, and cutover planning;
Salesforce Initiatives: Capture Sales/Service/Experience Cloud requirements, lead data and integration requirements (e.g., to core platforms and finance), and ensure field‑level security alignment;
Loan Origination & Management Systems: Support RFP, Document credit decisioning, underwriting, pricing, KYC/AML, servicing, collections, and regulatory reporting requirements;
Support integration and data requirements (APIs, eventing, batch), data lineage, and data quality rules;
Capture non‑functional requirements (security, privacy, performance, scalability, resiliency, observability); and
Ensure alignment to enterprise data standards, access controls, and PII handling.
About you
5 - 8+ years Business Analysis experience within financial services (banking, consumer/asset finance, fintech, or similar regulated environments);
Demonstrated delivery on replacement or major uplift projects;
Proven experience collaborating with outsourced/offshore technology teams (preferably India) on bespoke systems;
Exposure to US financial services environments and cyber/security expectations (e.g., NIST CSF, SOC 2, GLBA/FFIEC), with practical application to BA deliverables;
Proficiency with Jira/Confluence or Azure DevOps, Visio/Lucidchart, process modelling (BPMN), and requirements traceability;
Strong data analysis basics (SQL for querying/validation preferred), and experience with API/integration requirements;
Tertiary qualifications in Business, Information Systems, Finance or related; IIBA CBAP/CCBA or Agile BA certification advantageous;
Experience working on ERP implementations, business process improvements and translation;
Outstanding requirements engineering and documentation quality;
Stakeholder facilitation and clear communication across business, technology, and vendors;
Analytical problem solving with a bias to measurable outcomes and value;
Risk awareness: build security, privacy, and compliance into requirements;
Delivery discipline: scope control, change control, and benefits traceability;
Influence & collaboration across time zones and cultures (incl. India team); and
Adaptability across Waterfall, Agile, and hybrid delivery frameworks.
