A growing information and insights business is expanding its national sales team and looking to appoint an experienced Business Development Manager in Sydney.
This role will suit true hunters who enjoy building networks, creating opportunities and managing consultative sales cycles.
The Role
You will be responsible for driving new business across your territory, building relationships with industry stakeholders and introducing a subscription-based intelligence platform used by professionals across the sector.
This is a pure new business role, focused on prospecting, building relationships and converting new clients.
Sales cycles are typically consultative, requiring consistent engagement and strong pipeline management.
Key Responsibilities
Identify and develop new business opportunities within your territory;
Build relationships with industry professionals and decision makers;
Conduct product demonstrations and sales presentations;
Manage opportunities from initial engagement through to close; and
Maintain strong pipeline activity and territory coverage.
About You
Proven Business Development Manager / new business sales experience;
Strong track record of generating pipeline and closing new business;
Comfortable managing consultative or longer sales cycles;
Strong relationship builder and natural networker; and
Self-motivated with a strong drive to succeed.
Non-negotiable experience in one of the following sectors:
PropTech / property technology;
Commercial real estate;
Commercial property brokerage or agency; and
Property data, research or market intelligence platforms.
