An opportunity to secure major projects and make your mark across NSW

We're partnering with an established Australian business operating in the construction and building solutions sector to recruit an experienced Business Development Manager.

With a strong presence in the market and a diverse range of projects across education, healthcare and other key sectors, the business is looking for someone who knows how to identify opportunities, build relationships and turn conversations into major projects.

The opportunity

You'll take responsibility for identifying and developing new business opportunities across NSW, working closely with internal design, estimating, manufacturing and project delivery teams.

Your role will include

  • Identifying and securing new business opportunities across construction, education, healthcare and other target markets;

  • Building relationships with builders, developers, contractors and key industry stakeholders;

  • Developing a strong pipeline of opportunities and managing longer, more complex sales cycles;

  • Leading tenders, preparing proposals and delivering presentations to prospective clients;

  • Working alongside internal design, estimating and delivery teams to develop commercially competitive solutions; and

  • Negotiating contracts and managing opportunities through to successful project award.

What we're looking for

We're particularly interested in speaking with people who have an established network within the construction industry and understand what it takes to secure major projects.

Ideally, you'll bring

  • At least 5 years of experience in business development or a similar commercial role;

  • Experience in construction, building solutions, civil infrastructure or a project-based environment;

  • A proven ability to generate new business and develop relationships with key decision-makers;

  • Experience managing complex sales cycles, tenders, bids and commercial negotiations;

  • Strong commercial acumen and the confidence to engage with stakeholders at all levels; and

  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple opportunities simultaneously.

Experience working with Tier 2 builders or within education and healthcare construction would be particularly relevant.

What's on offer?

  • $150,000 - $170,000 base salary + superannuation (depending on experience);

  • Vehicle allowance or company vehicle;

  • Sales incentive plan;

  • The opportunity to pursue substantial construction projects across NSW;

  • An established Australian business with an existing market presence;

  • Autonomy to develop new relationships and build your own pipeline; and

  • Support from experienced design, estimating, manufacturing and project delivery teams.
