Job Details

We're partnering with a global business specialising in innovative construction materials and solutions to recruit a driven and commercially minded Business Development Manager.

With an established international presence and ambitious growth plans across Australia, the business is looking for someone who thrives on building relationships, identifying opportunities and getting out into the market.

The opportunity

This is a highly autonomous, remote and field-based position where you'll spend your time meeting customers, visiting project sites and building relationships rather than sitting behind a desk.

Your role will include

  • Managing and developing relationships with existing customers while identifying opportunities for further growth;

  • Proactively generating new business across the construction and building materials sectors;

  • Building strong relationships with concrete suppliers, builders, contractors, engineers and other industry stakeholders;

  • Identifying upcoming costruction projects and engaging with decision-makers early in the process;

  • Developing a strong pipeline of opportunities and converting these into long-term commercial partnerships;

  • Working closely with internal technical specialists to deliver solutions that meet customer requirements;

  • Representing the business at industry events, networking opportunities and customer meetings; and

  • Managing your territory, sales activity and pipeline to support continued growth across NSW.

Ideally, you'll bring

  • Experience in business development, account management or a similar sales-focused role in a similar industry;

  • A proven ability to develop relationships, identify opportunities and win new business;

  • A proactive, self-motivated approach with the confidence to engage with customers at all levels;

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a natural ability to build rapport;

  • Commercial awareness and the ability to manage a sales territory independently;

  • Excellent organisational skills and a willingness to travel across Sydney and regional NSW; and

  • A positive, energetic attitude and a genuine desire to contribute to a growing business.

Experience selling into construction, concrete, building materials, industrial products or related sectors would be advantageous, but is not essential. Full product and technical training will be provided.

What's on offer?

  • Join a global business with an established international presence and exciting growth ambitions in Australia;

  • Take ownership of an established NSW territory with significant opportunities for new business development;

  • Enjoy complete autonomy in a remote, field-based role, managing your own diary and customer relationships;

  • Receive comprehensive product and technical training from an experienced team;

  • Work within a supportive, collaborative Australian business where your ideas and contribution are valued;

  • Car allowance, laptop, phone and all required tools of the trade;

  • Opportunities to attend national team meetings and potentially travel internationally for global company events; and

  • Genuine opportunities for career progression as the Australian business continues to expand.

If you're a driven sales professional who enjoys building relationships, winning new business and taking ownership of your territory, we'd love to hear from you.
