The Business Development Manager is responsible for uncovering and securing new business, balancing time between in-field engagement and internal collaboration. The role involves working across various business units to manage key accounts and proactively target high-value prospects within a defined region. Success in this role comes from strategic territory planning, building strong client relationships, and partnering across departments to drive sustainable growth.
This role will be pivotal in the new phase of growth for our client. Continuing to expand the current footprint of customers, while unlocking new business through Petrol & Convenience Channels. Foundational relationships and a trusted name in trade is a must!
Responsibilities
Responsible for driving revenue by identifying and securing new business opportunities through proactive outreach, including phone, field visits, and networking with key partners across P&C;
Manage and grow a dynamic sales pipeline, balancing long-term clients with one-off deals, and consistently meet performance targets;
Partner with internal teams to craft tailored solutions that address client needs and ensure seamless handover and onboarding;
Regularly travel within the territory to build client relationships and uncover new opportunities;
Support a collaborative and customer-first culture by sharing feedback, suggesting improvements, and aligning with company goals.
Skills & Experience
At least 2 years in a B2B sales role, ideally within hospitality, foodservice, P&C or Indies;
Skilled at finding and converting new leads into valuable, long-term customers;
Strong commercial acumen with a good grasp of industry trends and customer buying behaviour;
Self-motivated with high energy, a positive problem-solving attitude and the ability to work autonomously; and
Australian drivers licence and Australian citizenship/working visa.
