About QGRC

The Queensland Greyhound Racing Club (QGRC) was formed in 2024 through the amalgamation of the Brisbane and Ipswich Greyhound Racing Clubs, bringing two proud clubs together with a shared ambition for the sport. Today, QGRC operates The Q in Ipswich, a world-class, purpose-built racing, hospitality and entertainment precinct representing a significant investment in greyhound racing across South-East Queensland. Featuring three racing tracks, licensed club, bistro, TAB facilities and a gaming lounge, The Q provides an exceptional platform for growth. With the venue now established, the focus is on realising its full potential, growing the commercial business, strengthening the racing product and delivering an outstanding experience for members, participants and patrons.

About the CEO Role

Based at The Q and reporting to the Board, the CEO will lead QGRC’s next phase of growth. The mandate extends beyond the important function of running a race club: it is to maximise the potential of a world-class facility and build The Q into a high-performing racing, hospitality and gaming destination. You will lead the organisation, drive commercial performance and venue utilisation and build strong relationships with members, participants, Racing Queensland, regulators, sponsors and the broader community. This is a highly visible CEO role with genuine scope to influence both QGRC’s performance and the future of greyhound racing across South-East Queensland.

About You

We are seeking an accomplished CEO, General Manager or senior executive with experience across strategy, commercial performance, people leadership and complex operations. In-depth knowledge of and experience within, the greyhound racing industry will be highly regarded, alongside experience in racing, sport, hospitality, licensed clubs, gaming or major events. Commercially astute, energetic and pragmatic, you will be an engaging leader who can work effectively with the Board, members and industry stakeholders, respect the traditions of the sport and identify new opportunities for growth.

This role is based at The Q in Ipswich, Queensland.
