Communications & Community Engagement Advisor | Major Projects, Sydney
Based in Lane Cover Business Park and Huntingwood
Join a leading Australian construction business with a long-standing reputation for delivering some of Sydney's most significant infrastructure — including state significant data centre developments and major hospital redevelopments.
We're looking for two mid-level communications professionals who have a genuine community engagement and stakeholder bias — practitioners who thrive on building trusted relationships, developing/respecting compliance protocols and working with both passion and rigour to maximise a positive social impact.
What you'll do
Own day-to-day stakeholder engagement and communications across live construction sites;
Build genuine relationships with residents, businesses, councils, government agencies and community groups;
Get ahead of issues before they escalate — sharp instincts for reading sentiment and flagging risk early;
Handle complaints and sensitive matters with diplomacy, structure and a cool head;
Plan and run community forums, site visits and stakeholder events;
Spot and act on opportunities to build social licence and goodwill; and
Keep reporting, records and compliance tight and audit-ready.
What you'll bring
5+ years in communications, community engagement or stakeholder relations, ideally in conjunction with complex infrastructure, construction, utilities or transport projects;
A natural feel for protocol — happy to follow it, and just as happy to help build it out;
Excellent diplomacy and relationship-management skills, particularly with challenging stakeholders;
Analogous experience will be highly regarded — think Transport for NSW or other major infrastructure projects; and
A White Card and driver's licence highly regarded.
Why join
Over a century building NSW's landmark projects;
Genuinely high staff retention and a close-knit, family-style culture;
Market-leading parental leave, novated leasing, EAP and gym discounts; and
Real career pathways — development opportunities and exposure across a diverse project portfolio.
If you love the mix of relationships, rigour and reputation-building that comes with major projects — this is your next move.
