Sydney CBD | Hybrid | Growing Non-Bank Lender

Reporting to an experienced and highly regarded Credit Team Leader, you’ll play a key role in evaluating and approving credit applications while supporting strong customer and broker outcomes.
This position offers a balanced mix of credit analysis and stakeholder engagement (approx. 75% credit / 25% customer interaction), making it ideal for someone who enjoys both decision-making and relationship management.
You’ll be joining a close-knit, high-performing team of six, known for its collaborative culture, diversity, and supportive leadership.
The Role
Assess and decision asset finance applications in line with credit policy and delegated lending authority;
Approve deals within your mandate and escalate more complex scenarios where required;
Manage a steady pipeline of applications, ensuring SLAs and turnaround times are consistently achieved;
Engage with broker partners to validate information, resolve queries, and provide updates;
Identify potential risks and apply sound judgement to credit decisions;
Contribute to ongoing improvements across credit processes and systems; and
Partner with internal teams to deliver seamless customer outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Assess and decision credit applications within policy and DLA;
Manage a high-volume pipeline (15–16 apps per day);
Liaise with brokers to validate information and resolve queries;
Meet SLAs (approx. 90-minute turnaround); and
Escalate higher-risk or complex deals where required.
About You
Experience in credit assessment within banking, asset finance, or financial services;
Strong understanding of credit risk and lending frameworks;
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, volume-driven environment;
Confident making decisions and managing delegated authority;
Excellent communication skills, particularly with external stakeholders such as brokers;
Highly organised with strong attention to detail; and
Team-oriented mindset with a proactive approach.
