Join a global financial services organisation embarking on a major uplift of its cybersecurity capability. This newly created role offers the opportunity to lead a modern, hybrid Security Operations Centre (SOC) environment.

The Role:

You’ll lead day-to-day cybersecurity operations across a dual-SIEM and managed SOC setup. The role is hands-on and delivery-focused, providing technical oversight, vendor management, and incident response leadership for a global enterprise environment.

You’ll work closely with the CISO, security engineering, and infrastructure teams to drive continuous improvement in detection, response, and threat visibility.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and coordinate a hybrid SOC (internal and managed service model);

  • Oversee incident detection, triage, investigation, and response;

  • Hold the external provider accountable for SLAs, reporting, and quality;

  • Lead or support threat and HR-related investigations;

  • Continuously enhance SOC processes, automation, and playbooks;

  • Ensure alignment to MITRE ATT&CK and best-practice frameworks; and

  • Produce metrics and executive reports demonstrating operational maturity.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years in Security Operations or Incident Response;

  • Proven background working in a hybrid or managed SOC environment;

  • Hands-on experience with Sentinel, CrowdStrike, Defender, or similar enterprise tools;

  • Strong vendor management, reporting, and stakeholder engagement skills.
