Our client is a well-established and highly regarded organisation operating within a large and complex commercial environment located in Sydney Olympic Park. Following a major ERP implementation, the business is now entering a critical stabilisation and optimisation phase and is seeking a capable application specialist to take ownership of its Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central platform.

The Role
This newly created role will see you take end-to-end ownership of the Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central application environment, ensuring stability, performance and ongoing enhancement following a recent ERP implementation.
Acting as the key functional SME, you will sit between the business and technology vendors, ensuring system changes are well governed, properly tested and aligned with business needs. You will play a key role in managing the transition from project delivery into business-as-usual operations while supporting the ongoing ERP roadmap.
This role will suit someone who enjoys combining application ownership, stakeholder engagement, testing governance and continuous improvement within an enterprise environment.
Key Responsibilities
Key areas of responsibility will include:
Acting as the primary application owner for Dynamics 365 Business Central;
Supporting ERP stabilisation, hypercare and ongoing enhancement delivery;
Partnering with stakeholders to translate business needs into system improvements;
Managing vendors responsible for system development and support;
Leading User Acceptance Testing coordination and test governance activities;
Managing incidents, defects and post-go-live improvements;
Supporting the ERP roadmap through structured change and release management;
Driving continuous improvement across testing, release discipline and system utilisation; and
Providing clear reporting on system health, risks and change outcomes.
About You
You will be an experienced ERP Application Specialist or Systems Analyst who enjoys owning platforms and ensuring they deliver real business value.
You will bring:
Demonstrated experience supporting Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central or similar ERP platforms;
Strong understanding of ERP application lifecycle management;
Experience coordinating UAT and testing governance;
Strong stakeholder engagement skills;
Vendor management experience; and
A structured and quality-focused approach to system change.
Highly regarded experience includes:
Exposure to ERP implementation or hypercare environments;
Experience with structured testing practices;
Experience supporting staged ERP roadmaps; and
Experience working in complex operational environments.
