Are you an NV1-cleared Data Analyst who enjoys solving complex data problems, creating structure and bringing visibility to large-scale technology environments?
We are seeking an experienced Data Analyst to support a critical classified environments program responsible for establishing secure capabilities that will support future Defence and Government operations.
This is not a traditional BAU analytics role. Instead, you'll be stepping into a fast-moving program environment where data ownership, lineage, documentation and migration planning are still evolving. You'll play a key role in understanding the current state, identifying gaps and creating the artefacts needed to support future integration, migration and accreditation activities.
This initial 6-month contract offers strong extension potential and the opportunity to contribute to a highly visible and business-critical program.
About the Role:
Working alongside project, engineering and operational teams, you will help establish the data foundations required to support a complex technology environment.
You will:
Conduct discovery and gap analysis across multiple applications and systems;
Document data flows, data lineage, integrations and dependencies;
Develop data migration plans and supporting artefacts;
Identify and classify sensitive and protected data;
Establish data ownership, governance and documentation standards;
Work closely with system owners, technical teams and business stakeholders;
Support accreditation, operational readiness and future-state planning activities; and
Create structure and visibility across a fragmented data landscape.
About You:
You are a hands-on Data Analyst who thrives in ambiguity and enjoys creating clarity within complex technical environments.
You'll bring:
Active NV1 Security Clearance (essential);
Strong experience in data discovery, mapping and migration planning;
Experience documenting application, system and data relationships;
Exposure to data governance, data quality and data management practices;
Ability to work with minimal documentation and evolving requirements;
Experience engaging technical stakeholders and system owners;
Databricks, Data Lakes or Azure experience highly regarded; and
Experience within Defence, Government or regulated environments highly desirable.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys solving complex problems, building foundational artefacts and helping shape the future operating environment of a critical program.
Please note: Active NV1 Security Clearance is mandatory for this position.
Applications close COB Friday, 26 June.
