We are partnering with a leading transport operator to find a commercially minded and data-driven professional who is passionate about turning insights into real-world impact.
This is a high-impact opportunity to play a key role in improving operational performance across a large and evolving transport network. You’ll work at the intersection of data, operations, and commercial strategy helping drive efficiency, reliability and service excellence.
The Opportunity
In this hybrid role, you’ll combine hands-on data analysis with stakeholder engagement, helping shape decision-making across the business. From optimising existing reporting frameworks to building new solutions, you will contribute to a major uplift in data maturity and performance capability.
Key Responsibilities
Analyse complex operational data to identify trends, risks and improvement opportunities;
Develop and enhance dashboards and reports (Power BI & Excel) to track KPIs and contract performance;
Support contract compliance and reporting requirements;
Build business cases, including cost-benefit analysis and scenario modelling;
Drive performance improvement and transformation initiatives;
Collaborate with Operations, Planning, IT, and Commercial teams;
Work across diverse data sources including Snowflake and Incorta to support reporting and insights;
Develop and enhance reporting in an Excel-heavy environment, with a focus on transitioning to Power BI and automation (Power Automate);
Optimise existing dashboards while also building new, fit-for-purpose reporting solutions; and
Contribute to the uplift of a growing data environment, supporting ongoing modernisation and transformation initiatives.
About You
Strong analytical capability with experience working across complex datasets;
Advanced Excel skills, with exposure to Power BI or similar tools;
Experience in performance reporting, business case development, or transformation initiatives;
Ability to translate data into clear, commercially focused outcomes;
Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills; and
Experience within transport, infrastructure, or a regulated environment (highly regarded).
