An opportunity has become available for an experienced and commercially minded Employee Relations Advisor to join a well-established organisation on an initial 6-8 month contract, with strong potential to transition into a permanent position.
 
This role will suit someone who enjoys operating in a fast-paced environment, partnering closely with leaders to navigate complex employee matters while balancing business needs, risk, and compliance.
 
Working as part of a collaborative People & Culture team, you will provide expert advice across a broad range of employee relations matters and play a key role in supporting leaders through workplace challenges.
 
Key responsibilities:

  • Provide end-to-end advice on employee relations matters including performance, conduct, grievances, and investigations;

  • Partner with leaders to manage complex and sensitive casework;

  • Interpret employment legislation, awards, enterprise agreements, and internal policies;

  • Support disciplinary processes, workplace investigations, and risk mitigation strategies;

  • Coach leaders to build capability and confidence in managing people matters; and

  • Contribute to policy review and continuous improvement initiatives.

About you:

  • Proven experience in Employee Relations, Industrial Relations, or a senior HR Advisory role;

  • Strong knowledge of Fair Work legislation and Australian employment law;

  • Commercially minded with the ability to balance business outcomes with people risk;

  • Confident managing complex casework and influencing stakeholders at all levels;

  • Strong written communication and documentation skills; and

  • Available to commence at short notice or within 2-4 weeks preferred.
