About the Role

This Employee Relations Specialist role sits within a collaborative HR team and plays a key part in providing practical, commercially focused ER and IR advice. You will partner closely with leaders across the business to manage employee relations matters, mitigate risk, and ensure compliance with relevant legislation and industrial instruments. This is a hands-on role suited to someone confident navigating complex workplace issues within a unionised environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide ER/IR advice aligned with legislation and industrial instruments;

  • Manage workplace investigations and employee matters end-to-end;

  • Support dispute resolution and union interactions;

  • Assist with Enterprise Agreement negotiations;

  • Coach and upskill leaders on ER processes and best practice;

  • Ensure compliance with employment legislation and frameworks; and

  • Build strong stakeholder relationships across the business.

To be a successful applicant, you will bring:

You will bring proven experience in employee and industrial relations within a unionised environment, with the ability to confidently manage complex and sensitive matters. Strong knowledge of Australian employment legislation and industrial frameworks is essential, along with experience in dispute resolution and investigations. You are a strong communicator who can influence stakeholders, provide clear and practical advice, and build trusted relationships across all levels of the business. A relevant qualification in HR, IR, or a related field will be highly regarded.
