The Opportunity

We are seeking Expressions of Interest for Grants Administration Officers to join a rapid-response talent pool activated during disaster recovery periods. When deployed, you’ll help process hardship grant applications, provide administrative and customer support, and ensure community members can access essential assistance quickly and smoothly.

These assignments move fast and the work is deeply meaningful. You’ll be supporting people during one of the most challenging times of their lives and making an immediate impact.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Assessing and processing hardship grant applications;

  • Providing guidance to applicants navigating eligibility and documentation;

  • Maintaining accurate and confidential records;

  • Delivering high-quality administrative and customer service support; and

  • Working collaboratively with a coordinated disaster recovery team.

Required Experience

We’re seeking candidates who are steady under pressure, motivated by purpose and comfortable working in a dynamic, changing environment.

You will bring:

  • Experience in administration, customer service or grants processing;

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills;

  • Ability to work onsite in South Brisbane at short notice;

  • Flexibility for rotating shifts, including evenings or weekends; and

  • High attention to detail and the ability to learn new systems quickly.
