Events Marketing Advisor

Sydney CBD | 9-Month FTC | $110,000–$115,000 + Super | Hybrid

We're partnering with a top-tier professional services firm to appoint an experienced Events Marketing Advisor for a 9-month parental leave contract.

Sitting within a large national Business Development & Marketing function, you'll join an established events team delivering a sophisticated calendar of client and internal events - from intimate boardroom lunches and executive briefings through to cocktail functions, webinars and larger flagship experiences.

This is a great opportunity for an events professional who loves being close to the action, takes pride in the detail and knows how to deliver polished corporate events for senior audiences.

The opportunity

You'll take ownership of a busy portfolio of Sydney events while also supporting national activity, often managing multiple events at different stages at once.

The role is genuinely end-to-end. You'll take the initial brief, develop the event plan, manage invitations and guest lists, coordinate venues, catering, AV and collateral, prepare run sheets and be there on the day to make sure everything comes together.

There are some fantastic events already on the calendar, alongside the regular rhythm of client lunches, seminars, virtual events and corporate functions.

You'll be surrounded by an experienced national team, but trusted to run your own portfolio and make decisions. It's an environment with high standards, strong collaboration and a culture that values excellence without ego.

What you'll be doing

  • Planning and delivering corporate events from initial brief through to evaluation;

  • Managing a high volume of events across in-person, virtual and hybrid formats;

  • Partnering with senior stakeholders to understand objectives and bring briefs to life;

  • Managing guest lists, invitations, event communications and supporting collateral;

  • Coordinating venues, catering, AV, suppliers and internal teams;

  • Developing run sheets and providing confident on-site event management;

  • Tracking budgets, attendance, feedback and event outcomes; and

  • Supporting larger Sydney and national events alongside the broader team.

About you

You'll already have a strong background delivering professional corporate events and be comfortable taking ownership without needing a lot of direction.

Organisation and attention to detail will come naturally, but just as important is how you work with people. You'll be communicating with senior stakeholders regularly, so confidence, maturity and strong written communication are essential.

You'll enjoy juggling a busy calendar, know how to keep calm when plans inevitably change, and genuinely enjoy the pace that comes with events.

Experience within professional services, legal, financial services or another corporate environment would translate particularly well.

Why this role?

You'll get exposure to world-class corporate events within a top-tier professional services environment, working with senior stakeholders and an experienced national team.

The culture is collaborative and down-to-earth, with a real emphasis on learning and professional development. You'll be trusted to own your work while still having a strong team around you.

The role is based in Sydney CBD, with a balanced hybrid model of 3 days in the office and 2 from home once you're established. Some flexibility outside standard hours is naturally required around breakfast and evening events.

This is a 9-month fixed-term contract with an immediate start, offering $110,000–$115,000 base + super.
