Events Marketing Specialist

Sydney CBD | 6-Month FTC | Hybrid

We're partnering with a top-tier professional services firm to appoint an experienced Events Marketing role for a 6-month fixed-term contract, with an immediate start.

Joining an established national Events team, you'll deliver a busy calendar of high-quality corporate events, from executive boardroom lunches and client seminars through to cocktail functions, webinars and larger flagship experiences.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an events professional who enjoys a fast-paced environment, takes pride in the detail and knows how to deliver exceptional experiences for senior corporate audiences.

The opportunity

You'll take ownership of a portfolio of Sydney-based events while also supporting national activity, working within a collaborative Events team of approximately 10 people and a wider Business Development & Marketing function.

The role is genuinely end-to-end. You'll take initial briefs, develop event plans, manage invitations and guest lists, coordinate suppliers and collateral, prepare detailed run sheets and oversee delivery on the day.

With multiple events running concurrently, you'll need to be comfortable managing competing priorities and making decisions independently. You'll work closely with senior stakeholders who expect a high standard of service, professionalism and attention to detail.

You'll have the support of an experienced national team, while being trusted to take ownership of your events and deliver them to an exceptional standard.

What you'll be doing

  • Planning and delivering a busy calendar of corporate events across in-person, virtual and hybrid formats;

  • Managing events end-to-end, from initial briefing and planning through to execution and post-event evaluation;

  • Partnering with senior stakeholders to understand event objectives and deliver engaging client experiences;

  • Coordinating venues, catering, AV, suppliers and internal teams to ensure seamless delivery;

  • Preparing event communications, invitations, guest lists, run sheets and supporting collateral;

  • Managing event budgets, attendance reporting and post-event feedback;

  • Providing confident on-site support for executive functions, seminars and client events; and

  • Collaborating with the wider national Events team to support larger events and share best practices.

About you

You'll bring at least 3 years' experience delivering professional corporate events, ideally within legal, financial services, consulting or another professional services environment.

You're someone who can confidently manage an event from start to finish, communicate effectively with senior stakeholders and maintain exceptional attention to detail, even when managing multiple priorities.

You'll be highly organised, proactive and comfortable making decisions without needing constant direction. Strong written communication is particularly important, alongside the ability to build relationships and deliver a polished experience for clients.

Experience with Salesforce, Eloqua, ON24 or similar event and CRM platforms would be advantageous, although not essential.

Most importantly, you'll genuinely enjoy events, thrive in a high-performing environment and bring the confidence and initiative to get things done.

Why this role?

You'll join one of Australia's leading professional services environments, delivering premium corporate events for senior clients and business leaders.

The team is collaborative, experienced and passionate about delivering excellent work. You'll have access to a well-established national events function, high-quality facilities and the opportunity to work on events that reflect the calibre of the organisation.

This is a great opportunity to broaden your experience within a top-tier firm while taking ownership of a varied and high-profile events portfolio.
