A well-established commercial law firm is seeking a Senior Executive Assistant to provide high-level support to a Partner across Property and Commercial matters. This is a full-time, in-office role and a critical replacement for a long-standing EA who is preparing for retirement.
This is a true Partner EA role - fast-paced, demanding, and best suited to someone senior who knows how to manage upwards and stay ahead of the work at all times.
The role
You’ll act as the Partner’s right hand, taking ownership of workflow, priorities, and deadlines. The practice is busy and high-volume, so this role requires someone who can anticipate needs, think ahead, and confidently manage the day-to-day before issues arise.
Key responsibilities include
End-to-end diary and inbox management;
Proactively managing workload, deadlines and competing priorities;
Drafting and amending legal documents and correspondence;
Liaising with clients and internal stakeholders;
Anticipating upcoming pressures and planning accordingly;
Managing upwards - prioritising, pushing back when needed and keeping the Partner focused; and
Staying one step ahead so nothing falls through the cracks.
About you
Proven experience as an EA within a law firm (essential);
Comfortable supporting a Partner in a fast-paced, high-pressure practice;
Highly organised, proactive and solutions-focused;
Confident managing upwards and setting boundaries when required;
Strong judgment, attention to detail and communication skills; and
Property experience is not required, but would be viewed favourably.
This is a five-day, in-office role, ideal for an EA who thrives on responsibility, structure, and being relied upon.
