The Client

We are exclusively partnering with ARUP, a globally respected engineering and consulting firm known for delivering innovative, sustainable, and high-impact projects across the built environment. Their Brisbane office is modern, collaborative, and focused on supporting teams to deliver excellence while fostering a people-first culture.

What’s on Offer

This opportunity is ideally a temporary-to-permanent position; however, the client is equally open to candidates seeking a permanent role only.

  • Competitive hourly rate / salary package;

  • Annual profit share program/hybrid working policy and flexible working hours/annual leave loading, life and income protection insurance + more;

  • Modern CBD office with outstanding amenities;

  • Complimentary morning refreshments and subsidised meal options available onsite;

  • Regular social events and a supportive, inclusive culture; and

  • Work with a large, professional organisation undergoing exciting transformation and growth.

The Role

As the Office Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the Brisbane office.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading and developing a small team (2 direct reports);

  • Managing office leases and acting as the key liaison with landlords;

  • Overseeing operating budgets, cost allocation and forecasting;

  • Leading facilities management, including service contracts, preventative and reactive maintenance;

  • Ensuring contractor compliance, onboarding, and screening;

  • Overseeing the full asset lifecycle, ensuring everything is safe, operational, and compliant; and

  • Engaging with a wide range of internal stakeholders and providing updates on upcoming activities, initiatives, and office needs.

This role requires strong coordination, sound judgement, and the ability to operate effectively in a large, fast-paced organisation undergoing change.

About You

To be successful, you will have

  • Demonstrated experience in a similar Office Manager, Workplace Manager or Facilities-focused role;

  • Experience managing staff and fostering a high-performance culture;

  • Strong budget management and cost allocation skills;

  • Confident stakeholder engagement at all levels, including senior leadership;

  • Solid understanding of MS Office and general business systems;

  • A polished and professional communication style—both written and verbal;

  • Experience across facilities, operations, and ideally commercial leasing; and

  • The ability to adapt to change, solve problems proactively, and work collaboratively in a large corporate environment.

If you’re seeking a role where you can make a meaningful impact, be part of a modern and supportive workplace, and enjoy genuine flexibility and progression opportunities, we’d love to hear from you.
