The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Executive Support Officer for a temporary contract opportunity based in Brisbane, with flexible working arrangements available.
Supporting a senior executive, you will provide high-level, confidential executive and administrative support, ensuring the smooth operation of the office and effective coordination of key business priorities.
This role will suit an organised and proactive executive support professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can manage competing priorities with discretion and professionalism.
As the Executive Support Officer, you will:
Provide high-level confidential executive and administrative support to a senior executive;
Manage diaries, correspondence, meetings, travel, events and day-to-day office priorities;
Prepare and coordinate high-quality briefs, reports, correspondence, agendas, minutes and presentations;
Provide secretariat support to meetings and committees, including minutes, actions and follow-up;
Coordinate information and workflows, ensuring deadlines and priorities are effectively managed;
Liaise with senior leaders, internal teams, government stakeholders and external parties;
Maintain accurate records, registers and documentation and support governance and compliance requirements; and
Identify opportunities to improve administrative systems, processes and office efficiency.
You will bring:
Demonstrated experience providing high-level executive or senior administrative support;
Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines;
Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
High attention to detail and sound judgement when handling sensitive information;
Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills;
Experience with meeting coordination, secretariat functions and executive correspondence; and
High-level Microsoft Office skills, particularly Outlook and Word.
Highly regarded:
Queensland Government experience or demonstrated public sector experience;
Experience supporting senior executives, Boards or committees; and
Qualifications in business administration or a related discipline.
