An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Finance Analyst to join an established, ASX-listed organisation operating within a dynamic and growing industry.
This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded finance professional to go beyond the numbers, partnering with senior stakeholders to drive insights, support strategic decisions and improve business performance.
Based in either the organisation’s South Brisbane or Varsity Lakes office, this is a permanent opportunity offering flexibility with 2 days working from home each week.
The Opportunity
Reporting into the finance function, you will play a key role across financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, management reporting and commercial decision-making.
Your responsibilities will include:
Supporting annual budgeting and periodic forecasting processes;
Developing and maintaining financial models across revenue, margins, OPEX and working capital;
Analysing actual performance against budget and forecast, identifying key drivers, risks and opportunities;
Preparing management reports, dashboards and presentations for senior stakeholders;
Providing commercial analysis to support business development, cost optimisation and strategic initiatives;
Analysing profitability, customer, product and supplier performance;
Supporting financial modelling and due diligence for strategic projects, investments and M&A activity;
Partnering with operational and commercial stakeholders to improve financial understanding and decision-making; and
Leveraging tools including Advanced Excel, Power BI and ideally Python to improve reporting and efficiency.
You will ideally bring:
Degree qualification in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business or a related discipline;
Demonstrated experience across financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting and financial modelling;
Advanced Excel skills and experience with Power BI;
The ability to translate complex financial information into clear, commercially relevant insights; and
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
