As the Finance Manager, you’ll be responsible for the accuracy and integrity of financial data across the organisation. This includes ownership of the general ledger, uplift of financial controls, and support for key regulatory, statutory and trust reporting requirements.
You’ll also play a central role in ongoing finance transformation projects aimed at improving processes and shortening close timelines.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting & Control
Ensure GL structures, postings and hierarchies support accurate balance sheet, P&L and cashflow reporting;
Maintain and improve policies and controls to ensure all product balances are captured, reconciled and substantiated;
Provide analysis for product-level financial performance;
Maintain accurate legal entity trial balances;
Support hedge accounting processes;
Work closely with Financial Control, FP&A and Regulatory Reporting teams; and
Drive finance systems improvements and contribute to month-end close efficiency.
Regulatory & Statutory Reporting
Ensure GL data used for regulatory reporting is complete and accurate.
Support half-year and full-year statutory reporting.
Co-ordinate audit preparation and respond to internal and external audit queries; and
Provide technical accounting insight where needed.
Trust Reporting
Prepare warehouse trust reports and maintain key portfolio data; and
Liaise with trustees and lenders on reporting queries.
Other
Support treasury and operational requirements related to bank balances;
Build strong relationships across the business; and
Contribute to ad hoc projects including system changes, new accounting standards and accounting treatments.
About You
5+ years’ experience in Banking or Financial Services;
Strong financial reporting and analysis capability;
Proven experience improving controls and managing risk within Finance;
Advanced Excel skills; Workday GL experience an advantage;
Experience leading finance projects and managing stakeholders;
Knowledge of APRA/ASIC reporting (desirable); and
CA or CPA qualification.
