An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced finance leader to join a large purpose-led organisation based in the Brisbane CBD.
This is a hands-on Financial Controller role with a strong operational focus, suited to someone who enjoys improving processes, creating structure and leading teams through change.
It would also suit a strong Finance Manager ready to step into their first Financial Controller position.
Leading a team of 8, you will play a key role in driving finance operations, improving reporting timelines and supporting a major system implementation project scheduled for next year.
Key Responsibilities
Lead month-end and year-end financial reporting;
Drive process improvements and operational efficiencies;
Improve reporting turnaround times and finance workflows;
Oversee budgeting, forecasting and cash flow reporting;
Prepare financial statements and manage audits;
Support finance transformation and upcoming system implementation;
Lead, mentor and develop the finance team; and
Partner closely with leadership across the organisation.
About You
CA / CPA qualified;
Proven experience in financial management and reporting;
Strong technical accounting capability;
Demonstrated success improving finance processes and controls;
Experience supporting or leading system implementations;
Hands-on leadership style with strong stakeholder engagement skills; and
Passion for continuous improvement and team development.
