Your new Company

Your new organisation is a leader in industrial maintenance solutions and pump technology. Along with specialising in pump technology, they also provide industrial abrasive blasting and supply metal, concrete, and repair protection products.

Your new role

Reporting to the Workshop Manager, this role will see you working across both workshop and site-based environments. You will work Monday to Friday, commencing work at 6 am with a convenient finish of 2.06 pm daily. Whilst most work is workshop-based, you will also need the ability to travel interstate three times a year and undertake regional work when required for contracts across paper mills, ports, and other industrial sites throughout Victoria.

Your new role will involve: operating center lathes, milling and drilling machines, surface and bench grinders, general hand tools (electric & pneumatic), dismantling pumps and equipment, rebuilding components and applying metal coating, maintaining in-house equipment, and relevant reporting.

What you need to succeed

  • Fitter and turner with manual lathe machining capabilities, portraying solid mechanical aptitude;

  • Proven background in an industrial Fitter role, pump experience highly advantageous;

  • Ability to work autonomously and confident customer-facing skills (for some site-based pump work);

  • Be open to site and workshop-based work, working on pumps. Ability to travel interstate x3 times a year; and

  • Happy to work onsite where the work can be more hands-on / exposed to natural elements, or incremental weather.

**Please note that consistent mandatory drug and alcohol tests will be conducted, as well as a national police check.
