I’m working with a highly regarded, supportive national law firm in Sydney CBD who are continuing to grow and are looking for a Float Legal Assistant to join their team.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys variety and wants real exposure across different areas of law. No two days are the same, ideal for someone who thrives in a busy environment and wants to build strong all-round experience early in their legal career. The firm has excellent structure and well-established processes in place, making it a really strong environment to learn and develop.
What the role looks like
You’ll be a key support across multiple practice groups, getting involved in a wide mix of work, including:
Answering calls and assisting with client enquiries;
Diary management and coordinating meetings;
Opening and closing files;
Dictaphone typing and document formatting;
Billing and basic financial administration;
Archiving and general file management; and
Supporting team coordination and events.
About you
This role would suit someone who enjoys being organised, proactive, and hands-on in a support role. Ideally you will have:
At least 1 year’s experience in a Legal Assistant or similar role;
Strong organisational and diary management skills;
Confident communication skills and a client-focused approach;
Good MS Word and formatting skills;
The ability to juggle competing priorities and work to deadlines; and
Strong attention to detail and a reliable, can-do attitude.
