What Your Role Will Look Like:
Champion a high-performance, safety-first and engagement-driven culture through visible leadership, well-being initiatives (including psycho-social risk), and continuous improvement across all operational environments;
Develop and execute an integrated People, Safety and Communications strategy aligned to organisational goals, driving workforce capability, culture transformation and long-term business performance.;
Lead and develop multidisciplinary HR, WHS and Communications teams, ensuring consistent capability, service delivery and alignment across all business units and sites;
Oversee end-to-end people, safety and communications systems, including HR operations, industrial relations, injury management, workers’ compensation and internal/external communications across business-as-usual, change and crisis contexts;
Provide strategic advice to the CEO, Executive Leadership Team and Board on workforce, culture, safety, risk and reputation, supported by data-driven insights, KPIs and enterprise reporting;
Ensure robust governance, compliance and risk management across employment law, WHS and industrial frameworks, while driving organisational transformation, stakeholder engagement and innovation in workforce practices; and
Implement modern performance management systems to drive IWS Group’s capability uplift, enabling a more strategic, data-informed approach to talent development, performance, and growth.
What You Bring:
You are a seasoned executive with deep experience across People & Culture, Safety and/or Corporate Affairs within complex, industrial and operational environments. Please note, due to the geographically dispersed locations across New South Wales, South Australia, and Western Australia, some interstate travel will be required for this position.
You will have:
Proven success in leading integrated people, safety and internal communications functions at an enterprise level;
Strong expertise in the Australian employment landscape, WHS legislation, and industrial relations frameworks;
A track record of driving transformation, cultural change and organisational performance;
Executive level communication skills with experience advising Boards and senior stakeholders;
The ability to build teams, balance strategic thinking with operational execution in a complex and fast-paced environment;
A leadership style that builds trust, accountability and high performance across diverse teams; and
Highly regarded will come experience operating within in a private equity backed environment combined with tertiary qualifications in HR, WHS, Law, Communications or related business discipline.
