Looking for a hands-on Gentrack Velocity role where you can play a key part in stabilising and optimising a recently implemented billing platform within an energy retail environment?
 
This contract opportunity offers the chance to work on a newly deployed Gentrack Velocity platform, supporting post-implementation stabilisation, improving operational processes, and uplifting internal capability. Based in Melbourne CBD, this is a hybrid role (minimum two days in the office), working closely with technology, billing, and operations teams.
 
About the Role

You will will be responsible for supporting the ongoing optimisation and stability of the Gentrack Velocity platform. This includes triaging issues, supporting billing operations, and working closely with business stakeholders to improve system usage and processes.
 
You will:

• Triage and manage platform issues, identifying root causes and coordinating resolution;

• Support billing processes, investigating defects and ensuring operational accuracy;

• Work closely with business stakeholders to guide system usage and resolve issues;

• Assist with configuration updates and continuous platform improvements;

• Develop documentation, runbooks, and user guidance materials; and

• Support release activities and post-release validation.

This is a highly visible, hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys problem-solving, stakeholder engagement, and working across both technical and business teams.
 
About You

You are an experienced Gentrack or energy billing platform specialist with a strong understanding of energy retail operations. You are comfortable working in post-implementation environments and enjoy supporting both systems and people.
 
You’ll bring:

• Hands-on experience with Gentrack Velocity (or similar energy billing platforms);

• Background in energy retail market operations;

• Strong understanding of billing processes and system behaviours;

• Experience in platform support, triage, and incident management;

• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills; and

• A proactive, solutions-focused approach with a strong focus on continuous improvement.
