A global asset management organisation is entering a significant phase of technology modernisation and is seeking a senior engineering leader to shape and deliver this transformation.
Reporting to the CTO, this role will unify data and application engineering into a cohesive function, modernise legacy on-prem environments, and establish a scalable cloud-based architecture across global teams.
This is a strategic leadership position with genuine architectural influence and executive visibility.
The Opportunity
Lead enterprise engineering transformation across data and application platforms;
Migrate legacy on-prem systems into a modern Azure-based environment;
Establish scalable, cloud-native data capabilities;
Align fragmented global teams across Australia and the UK;
Partner closely with investment stakeholders in a complex, regulated environment;
Drive engineering standards, governance and delivery discipline; and
Balance business-as-usual stability with structured modernisation.
What We’re Looking For
Senior engineering leadership experience in regulated financial services;
Proven track record leading enterprise cloud migration and platform uplift;
Strong understanding of modern data and application architecture;
Experience working closely with business and investment stakeholders;
Ability to reshape and uplift distributed engineering teams; and
Strategic thinker with the credibility to operate at executive level.
Why This Role
Executive visibility and mandate ownership;
Genuine architectural influence at enterprise level;
Global scope with investment-critical data systems; and
Long-term transformation program (12–24 months + runway).
This is not a greenfield build. It is a phased transformation requiring clarity of vision, strong execution, and the ability to lead change in a global organisation.
Executive-level remuneration aligned to scope and impact.
