We’re seeking a hands-on Head of Finance who combines strong financial control expertise with a commercial, FP&A mindset and a proven ability to drive finance systems transformation.

The opportunity

Reporting to the General Manager – Finance & Accounting, this role leads the day-to-day accounting and financial control function, with responsibility for a small team and a broad remit across reporting, compliance, payroll and continuous improvement.

It’s an ideal opportunity for a Financial Controller or Head of Finance who enjoys getting into the detail but also wants to influence the bigger picture.

What you’ll be doing

• Lead month-end and year-end close, statutory financial reporting, balance sheet reconciliations and external audit processes;

• Oversee tax and regulatory compliance, payroll and core accounting operations;

• Deliver budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis and performance insights to support business planning and management decisions;

• Lead and develop the finance team, strengthening accountability, reporting discipline and capability;

• Drive finance process improvement, automation and better use of data to enhance accuracy, efficiency and control; and

• Contribute to finance systems enhancements and transformation initiatives, partnering with IT, business stakeholders and external providers.

What you’ll bring

• CA / CPA qualified, with a strong background in financial control, accounting and reporting;

• Experience as a Financial Controller, Head of Finance or in a similar senior finance leadership role;

• A balance of hands-on technical accounting expertise and commercial, FP&A-style analysis;

• Experience improving finance systems, ideally with involvement in ERP implementation, system transformation or significant process change;

• Strong Excel and analytical skills, with the ability to turn financial data into actionable insights; and

• A collaborative leadership style, sound commercial judgement and a proactive approach to improving how finance operates.
