About The Opportunity

This is a 12-month fixed term contract reporting to the General Manager Finance, leading the finance function across multiple dealerships and associated entities. You’ll take ownership of both the day-to-day financial operations and the broader commercial performance of the network.
 
This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll work closely with Dealer Principals and senior stakeholders to drive performance, improve reporting, and ensure consistency across sites. It suits someone who understands the pace and complexity of automotive retail and can confidently operate at both a strategic and operational level.
 
Key Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end finance function across multiple dealership entities;

• Oversee monthly reporting, group submissions, and performance analysis;

• Drive budgeting, forecasting, and capital planning processes;

• Manage cash flow, working capital, and stock levels across the network;

• Ensure compliance with all statutory, tax, and OEM reporting requirements;

• Lead audits and manage relationships with external advisors;

• Partner with Dealer Principals to drive profitability and performance;

• Improve financial processes, systems, and internal controls;

• Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team; and

• Provide clear, timely insights to support commercial decision making.

About You

You’re an experienced finance leader who understands the automotive dealership environment and knows how to drive performance across multiple sites.
 
You will bring

• CPA or CA qualification;

• Proven experience in a senior finance role within automotive retail;

• Strong understanding of dealership operations, margins, and stock management;

• Hands-on experience with Pentana (essential);

• Strong financial accounting and reporting capability;

• Experience managing multi-entity structures; and

• Ability to partner with senior stakeholders and influence outcomes.
