About the Role:
Join a highly successful, progressive, and fast-growing ASX-listed financial services group headquartered in Melbourne as their new Head of Financial Reporting.
Reporting to senior executive leadership with a direct, highly visible working relationship with the Group CFO, this is a premier leadership seat running the corporate financial reporting, statutory compliance, and funding accounting functions.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead, mentor, and upscale a cohesive financial reporting team, embedding agile practices to empower individuals to exceed process-improvement targets and drive career development;
Coordinate the preparation of semi-annual Investor Presentations, statutory financial accounts, and required ASX listings before executive and board submission;
Partner closely with the Group CFO to provide financial insights, analytical reviews, and value-added reporting to drive strategic decisions;
Orchestrate the monthly ledger close and manage the end-to-end preparation of the Group's annual financial forecast;
Exercise ownership over the Group Chart of Accounts while driving the continuous optimisation, automation, and integration of core financial platforms to streamline reporting cycles; and
Coordinate the external financial audit process and champion a proactive risk culture focused on reducing errors, strengthening controls, and ensuring flawless compliance.
What We’re Looking For:
CA or CPA Qualified;
Financial leadership experience within an ASX-listed financial services organisation;
Comprehensive, up-to-date understanding of technical accounting standards (IFRS/AASB);
Direct experience navigating complex financial instruments and capital market frameworks (securitisation or debt funding structures) will be highly regarded; and
Proven capability in leading, managing and coaching a high-performance team.
