A newly created senior technology opportunity with the scope to take ownership of IT operations across a growing multi-site organisation.
This is a standalone role where you’ll sit at the intersection of technology and the wider business, with the opportunity to shape the technology roadmap, lead projects and drive improvements across 16 locations. This role includes travel, so a valid driver's licence and car is required.
The opportunity
Reporting to the Director of Customer Experience, you’ll take ownership of the organisation’s technology operations and work closely with senior stakeholders and external technology partners.
You’ll be responsible for ensuring the technology environment is secure, reliable and fit for purpose, while also looking ahead at how technology can better support the business.
This will include:
Owning IT operations across 16 locations;
Managing and overseeing external MSP and technology vendors;
Leading technology projects from planning through to implementation;
Identifying gaps and opportunities across the technology environment;
Supporting infrastructure, security and digital initiatives;
Driving AI adoption and technology improvements across the business;
Working closely with the business to understand operational needs;
Providing technology advice and direction to senior stakeholders; and
Presenting and communicating technology initiatives to senior leadership and the Board.
What we're looking for
We’re looking for a senior IT professional who is comfortable operating across both the technical and business sides of technology.
You’ll ideally have experience across IT operations, infrastructure and vendor management, with the ability to understand the detail without needing to be the person doing all of the technical work.
You’ll be someone who can:
Confidently manage an external MSP and multiple technology vendors;
Understand infrastructure, networks and end-user technology;
Identify technology gaps and develop practical solutions;
Lead projects and drive implementation;
Work independently and take ownership;
Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders;
Translate technology into business outcomes; and
Communicate confidently with executive and Board-level stakeholders.
This could suit someone currently working as an IT Manager, Senior IT Manager or IT Operations Manager who is looking for greater ownership and the opportunity to shape a technology function. This role includes travel so a drivers licence and car is essential.
What's on offer?
$160,000 + super;
Permanent opportunity;
Parking provided and Travel covered;
Exposure across 16 locations;
Direct access to senior leadership and the Board;
Opportunity to shape technology strategy and the roadmap;
Mix of IT operations, projects, security and AI; and
Newly created role with genuine ownership and scope.
If you’re looking for a role where you can do more than simply manage BAU IT, this could be a great opportunity to make a real impact.
Please note, due to a high number of applicants, only successful candidates will be contacted.
