Carer Solutions was founded in 2011 with a clear mission to create a much-needed solution for people living with disability and their families. They have pioneered Australia's first and only Direct Employ model and helped thousands of people to employ trusted Support Workers from within their own communities, while supporting to manage payroll and compliance requirements.

In 2024, Carer Solutions was awarded the NDS National Disability Award for Excellence in Regional and Remote Support (Organisation).

Reporting to the Founder and CEO you will be a key member of the Executive Leadership Team and lead the People, Culture and Governance functions across a complex and evolving organisation.  This is a broad and hands-on leadership position requiring the ability to straddle both the operational and strategic aspects of the role.

Success in this role will include:

People Strategy & Culture

• Develop and lead the People Strategy, positioning Carer Solutions as an employer of choice;

• Shape a culture of inclusion, accountability, high performance and engagement;

• Own the organisation’s talent and capability agenda, including succession planning, development and retention; and

• Lead workforce planning and organisational design to support business growth and evolving service needs.

People Leadership, Advisory & Employee Relations

• Act as a trusted strategic advisor to the CEO and Executive Leadership Team on people, culture, risk and compliance;

• Lead the organisation’s employee relations, investigations, performance and change management agenda;

• Build, lead and develop a high-performing People, Culture & Governance function; and

• Provide oversight of quality, safeguarding and workforce practices across the organisation.

Governance, Risk & Compliance

• Develop and embed enterprise-wide governance, risk and compliance frameworks across Carer Solutions’ current and emerging service lines, ensuring alignment with relevant care-sector, employment, payroll, taxation, privacy and corporate regulatory requirements while enabling sustainable commercial growth;

• Lead enterprise risk management, ensuring key people, operational and regulatory risks are identified, managed and monitored;

• Drive continuous improvement through audits, reviews, policies and governance processes; and

• Build and maintain strategic relationships with relevant funding bodies, regulators, legal and industry partners, and key stakeholders across the care economy and broader commercial markets.

We’re looking for an experienced People & Culture leader with strong knowledge of Australian employment law, governance, risk and compliance, ideally gained within a regulated or complex environment.

You’ll be a confident relationship builder who can work closely with a range of stakeholders, lead and develop a small team and help drive culture, engagement and continuous improvement.  You’ll be adaptable, solutions-focused and comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving organisation where you can make a genuine impact.
