About the Company

A large, purpose-led organisation with a strong national footprint and a genuinely people-first culture. This is a business that takes its impact seriously - not only in what it delivers externally, but in how it supports, develops and listens to its people internally.

The People & Culture function is well established, values-driven and highly respected across the organisation, with leaders who genuinely partner with HR.

About the Role

This is a 12-month fixed-term contract, with strong potential for extension, for an experienced HR Business Partner who enjoys a hands-on role.

You’ll partner closely with senior leaders, providing practical advice across end-to-end case management, employee relations, performance management and change initiatives within a complex workforce.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner closely with leaders to support workforce performance, engagement and culture;

  • Manage and guide employee relations and industrial relations matters end-to-end;

  • Coach leaders through performance management, investigations and terminations with fairness and confidence;

  • Build leader capability around HR best practice, legislation, awards and policies;

  • Support change initiatives, succession planning and performance frameworks;

  • Act as a conduit between leaders and the broader People & Culture team;

  • Identify emerging risks, trends and opportunities and turn them into practical solutions; and

  • Contribute to wider HR projects and continuous improvement initiatives.

About You

You’re an experienced HR Generalist or HR Business Partner who:

  • Holds relevant tertiary qualifications;

  • Brings strong HR/IR experience, ideally within a complex environment;

  • Is confident advising senior stakeholders and influencing outcomes;

  • Enjoys balancing strategic input with hands-on delivery;

  • Communicates clearly, calmly and pragmatically;

  • Works autonomously while valuing collaboration and shared success; and

  • Brings a modern, commercial and people-focused approach to HR.

The Benefits

This role offers a strong balance of flexibility, autonomy and exposure, allowing you to take ownership of your portfolio while contributing to broader, organisation-wide people initiatives.

  • 12-month fixed-term contract with genuine potential to extend or convert;

  • Flexible, trust-based working arrangements;

  • Exposure to large-scale, meaningful HR initiatives;

  • Supportive, values-driven leadership; and

  • A role where your contribution is recognised and your work has real impact.
