  • Lead enterprise bargaining and industrial negotiations, including agreement strategy, union engagement and implementation;

  • Provide expert advice on enterprise agreements, awards, employment legislation, contracts and industrial risk;

  • Act as a senior escalation point for complex ER/HR matters, providing commercially balanced and risk-aware advice;

  • Identify and mitigate workforce, industrial and organisational risks, with clear governance and escalation pathways;

  • Develop workforce strategies aligned to operational priorities, labour demand, capability, productivity and succession;

  • Lead people components of key projects, including growth, restructuring, transformation, and due diligence;

  • Support tendering and commercial projects through workforce analysis, data interpretation and people-related due diligence;

  • Lead workforce transformation and culture change initiatives to enhance capability, strengthen culture and drive business performance; and

  • Partner with HSE and operations to integrate people, safety, industrial and operational priorities.

The Ideal Candidate

You will be a strategic and commercially minded HR professional with strong ER/IR expertise, confident operating as a senior escalation point in a complex environment. You will combine industrial judgement with strong stakeholder management, analytical capability and a pragmatic, solutions-focused approach.

Key Requirements

  • Senior HR experience within mining, resources, construction, heavy industry or complex operational environments;

  • Demonstrated experience managing complex ER/IR matters and industrial risk;

  • Proven experience advising senior executives and operational leaders on high-risk people matters;

  • Strong capability across employee investigations, organisational change and workforce planning;

  • Commercially astute with strong data, financial and analytical capability, particularly for tendering and business projects;

  • Exceptional negotiation, influencing, coaching and stakeholder management skills; and

  • Tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Employment Law, Business or a related discipline.
